I may need to get a valve job done on a pair of SBC heads. Anyone in San Antonio know a good machine shop?

Anyone ever done business with Duffin engine service?

What's the going rate for a valve job these days? Last time I priced one a got a rate of $10/hole, but that was 30 years ago.

I used Duffin to rebuild the head on my 944 and they were great. That was in 2004 though. I just brought in the head.

Took it to Miller's Automotive Service on Grissom on the recommendation of a coworker who has done a lot of business with them in the past.

Heads are off the car. It's a pair of 186 double-hump heads off my Corvette. Just doing a basic valve job to freshen them up and get the car running right.
