What am I missing here? Is this a case of having too much time and money or can you really get one of these?

Can't say I have seen many that weren't work trucks, and painted white, but I guess it can happen. It looks to be parked in front of school, but I could be wrong. If it is in front of a school, and a kid drives it, I see it being 2 scenarios:

1 - kids parents got him what he wanted, F-250, but to prevent him from being his friends shuttle service, they got him a single can so be bad minimal seating

2 - it's an old work truck that was painted a certain color for a company color scheme, is actually a work truck package inside, and the kid bought after market Lariat/King Ranch trim type pieces so it didn't look so 'work trucky'.

Just my gut, but could be wrong.

I did know a guy in college, a friend of my cousin at Tarleton State, who had one. It was green and work truck all the way. He had it chipped and everything, and for a big heavy duty work truck, that thing could fly!!

It was sitting at a stop light. That's an overpass in the background. I guess I always thought a single cab with a long bed was the smallest 3/4 ton truck you could get.

Single Cab 6.75' Bed Super Duty trucks do not exist from the factory. People make them themselves.

Google image search it. There are tons out there.

Starts off with a single cab long bed, and they section the frame out, buy a 6.75' Bed from a junkyard, and paint it up.

That's interesting stuff. Why don't they offer a factory short bed option to begin with if there are that many people out there customizing them?

They do exist, but not in this country. They were pretty common in Argentina.

Because most of the people buying 3/4 ton trucks in single cab form are using them to work and want an 8' Bed.

Plus, Ford knew that if they DID make a truck like that some dewshcanoe would put a tuba-sized exhaust tip on it and give the company a bad name, like the "stacks" a lot of 'canoes put on Cummins's's.

May not be easy to see but there is definitely a 4in tip on that one!

That was a project truck....not a factory build

Sorry, I looked at the picture yesterday on my phone. The side of the overpass looked like the side of a building on my phone, and I thought I saw a parking sign. To me, it looked like it was overflow parking at a HS or something. Once I could blow it up later in the day, I could see it was an overpass.
