Never heard of this place before, but it sounds like someone took an old defunct golf course, let it grow over, and then opened it up for offroading and said "have at it" for a fee. It's called Sugar Hill.

It seems to have a facebook page. Seems pretty convenient if you are in Houston.

Never have. You have one? I've seen a few of them lifted and they seem to be decently capable due to the light weight.

I've got to put on my sliders in case I high center with my relatively low clearance, and then I'm ready to go.

My uncle seems to have abandoned his at my grandpas house, he hasn't touched or even looked at it in at least 4 years. It's not running or street legal but I'm thinking at seeing what he wants for it and make it good enough to drive while RACETRUCK is down

12000 bissonnet seems to be it. Looking at it from google maps. There is ironically an enterprise car rental, an auto repair place, and a tire place right near the entrance.

Rental hooning?

It isn't really big, and in the google map you can still make out the fairways and the cartpaths, but I figure that map might be a little older.

Hm. I know that place. I dumped a house full of carpet and generic crap there in 1991 - cleaning out and prepping my grandmother's house after she passed away. It was a haz waste remediation site for years, then a regulated dump, then a golf course.

I have wheeled one. They are very tippy on the trails. Lots of aftermarket for them though.

Interesting about the park. Makes me think of all the old wheeling spots we would hit in high school all around Houston. Old Farm Road, GrandParkway, Greenhouse Rd in Katy, Fuqua, a few very ghetto spots over by the Astrodome. Completely illegal, but we were young and dumb

Might not be as illegal as you thought. If the property is not posted or fenced, you are only guilty of trespass if the owner or agent directs you in person or in writing to not enter on the property.

Back on the Sami, I think it's just not getting fuel so hopefully a fuel filter will fix it otherwise it's the pump which I hear isn't too bad and once I get that far I need to figure out why it over heats.

Then it needs wheel/tires and most likely a new top.

I had my 30th birthday golf outing there. It was a fun course, cheap as hell. I think it's built on an old landfill, like Wildcat.

That used to be the Alief dump. Knew it when we would drive by as a kid. Closed when I was younger, then became a golf course, except no one went there.

Used to have some friends who lived right by there in Elementary school. Haven't thought of this place in a while....

They don't need much pressure to run, so like you said I'm just going to check for flow. Was hoping it wouldn't be the pump since I don't want to spend too much on it.

I'd say all electrical things work except for the horn (paging SKF) but I'm sure I could just wire up a momentary switch so I can pass inspection.
