Got a problem with my wife's passenger side window for her 2001 Honda Accord.

The other night she was rolling up the windows and the window made a popping sound and hasn't worked ever since. The front passenger side window no longer works using the power window button. The glass can simply be pulled/pushed up and down. I realize that the issue could be in the cable/pulley/power/motor/regulator so I'm hesitant to try to track the issue down myself.

With a fix like this, am I better suited to bring it in to a Honda dealership or just some other car repair place?

DIY is not that hard, just gotta pull the door panel and do it. If youre not comfortable doing that, I would advise you NOT do it yourself.

Got the courage this past weekend to pop open the interior of the door and check things out. At first glance I thought I spotted the issue when I found a disconnected cable in the regulator assembly. I reattached the cable thinking I had fixed it, but soon found out that the real problem was that the cable was all tangled up on the regulator pulley.

I ordered a new regulator and it should be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully all goes well and my DIY window fix will work.

I realize that no one cares, but I'm going to tell you anyway.

Regulator assembly was delivered and I just installed it. Feels pretty dang good to DIY and it work perfect.
