So...on the way home my mom tells me her steering column was "smoking". Turns out now the fog lights won't come on. I am thinking the switch burned up in the wand. The wand also controls the turn signals (still works), high beams (still works) and the headlights (still work).

Any thoughts on A) how to replace B) how much to replace C) PITA if I wanted to do it myself?

Trust me. I told my mom I did not like the car and not to get it.

But she won and got her car. Besides the low pressure AC line breaking, AC expansion filter/orifice breaking, front end going out and getting totally replaced, multi function lever burning up, persistant cylinder #4 misfire, radiator leak, electronic ignition coil going bad, and needing the "nice" expensive tires, nothing else is wrong with the car.

I loved my PT Bruiser. Sucked that her timing chain slipped after 80k miles.
