We were in the same situation last year. She decided to get the Chevy Traverse instead of the Acadia. She loves it,but I am not that big of fan of it. It really does handle like a car and ride real smooth. It has bad blind spots on both sides. It also doesn't get near the gas mileage advertised, closer to 20 MPG. The engine is not powerful enough, it struggles a little, and really sucks down the gas if you are passing people a lot.
Adults can ride comfortably in the front, but the middle seat is about like a cars back seat. 2 adults can fit there, but it isnt that comfortable.
Bottom line, it made the wife happy and I drive my truck still, so I like it.
