Lady said her husband bought it from Alabama. Was it once part of BQ's collection. She let it go for $13,000.

I saw it too. Sweet car. Not worth $20,000 like she wanted, but a nice car, still.

WTF do they do with all of that crap? The must have a huge lot that isn't shown where they sell stuff online.

I wish they would air a behind the scenes episode.

saw it, and I agree, they must have a massive storage area

side note, if you feel like getting a good laugh, watch Hardcore Pawn on Tru TV....funny stuff. Plus they actually show you the storage area, row after row of crap.

Hardcore Pawn is a trainwreck. I watch it fir the entertainment, but pawn stars gets much cooler stuff brought in, not things like 'you're gonna give me $30 for this printer!'

I also like pedal cars and was really hoping he would take that one to Rick Dale. I guess they've had a falling out or something.

And I hope the pick American Restoration back up because Rick does some really cool work.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought the pedal car restoration was "lazy". You could tell that the original car had different colors for the different parts up front. The new restoration just colored the entire font white (lights, grill, bumper, etc.). But it only cost Rick $400 for the total restoration including parts, so I bet he skimped on the paint budget.

Yeah, when Count first quoted $300 for the job, I thought there was no freakin' way he could do it for that. He didn't, but still did a half-assed job IMO. Why would you not have the original hubcaps re-chromed, which had the Murray 'M' logo on the, instead of putting new, generic, smoothie hubcaps on it?

The guy owns a pawn shop, not a classic toy restoration business. He got it to a sellable condition for a decent price, and will turn it around and make a profit on it. It may not satisfy the tastes of the toy aficionados on Texags, but it looks good and will sell the way it is.

java94, have you seen the pedal cars in Harrel's Pharmacy in Kingsville. They have a great collection up on a shelf around their store.

If he would have spent $200 more on paint/labor/chrome, it would be worth way more. I'd be pissed if I was Rick. But no matter what, he'll still make a profit.

I set my tivo to record the show to take a look at this Europa and my youngest son cancelled it...argh!

Was it an S-2 or a twincam any one know?

Any details on the car other than price?

I think it was a Twink (73-74) body style.

Not an S2.

Thanks jac,

clean car, with only 25K miles, still has the crossover emission tubes, but only one brake servo, and I don't now what that canister is or that it should need a gauge??

I'll keep an eye on it.

No I haven't... Thanks for the link, I'll have to stop in next time I go through.

I think the Europas were one of the fugliest designs in the history of the automobile.

Looks like a bad kit car.

This one is pretty sparkly, though. Particularly under the hood.

Probably not going to find a nicer one, because there are few who would put that kind of money & effort into such a butt ugly car to start with.

I think they are definitely an acquired taste; the looks are very polarizing, love 'em or hate 'em. They are without a doubt a hoot to drive, they make an Elise feel like a bus. You are also verrry low to the ground, eye level with other cars wheels.

The wife and I stopped by their shop back in November. About 5 minutes in, a guy came in and told everyone to clear out because they were going to film for about half an hour. We went outside, and the wife and I were at the front of the line to get back in. We started talking to the guy watching the door and I asked the exact same question. He told me they have warehouse somewhere where they keep the vehicles.

The pawn shop is a lot smaller than it looks on the show. The biggest item they had in there was a few motorcycles.
