I've always seen $100 bird dog fee. Then again, they may only pay a $100 mini per vehicle to the salesman at John Eagle, so who knows.

i always gave a 100 bird dog too. I had this grad student make 500 off of me this semester. He thought he won the lotto!

When I bought a Honda 3 years ago I went to 3 dealerships; Goodson, Gillman, and John Eagle.

I wanted to buy from John Eagle because they were close to the house.

Honda USA had a $3000 off deal going through the end of the month, so the other dealers told me. John Eagle when I didn't buy on the spot told me the offer ended that day. Looked him square in the eyes and told him I knew he was lying because of what the other dealers told me.

Off he goes to his manager. Profuse apologies.....he misunderstood....etc etc.
Told him straight up I'd never buy from them ever.

I've made a few K off of referral fees for the local GMC & Lexus dealers. Not a bad gig if you can get it.

I got $100 for a buddy telling Direct TV I referred him. $50 for a car? HA!

I worked in a dealership that paid $100 minis and $100 referrals.

$50 is ****.

The dealer I work at pays $100 for customer referrals.

John Eagle has a fairly decent reputation for providing good customer service.

I was giving $25 when I sold in 1987, and things were quickly moving THEN to $50. Had I stayed in the business more than the summer, I would have doubled it. I'd say $100 now is minimum or not worth it.

Hell, a lot of places in Dallas will pay $500.
