I have a 1991 Chevy 2500 with a 350 TBI and 17,000 original miles. The truck has such low mileage because it sat in a garage for the past 20 years. It has run quite well since I got it a year ago but 3 weeks ago i started having an idle hunt problem. The engine will almost die then surge and repeat this. At higher RPMs (like driving through town or on the highway) the engine runs fine however it lacks power and easily stalls at takeoff. I have replaced the PCV valve, EGR valve, IAC, TPS, distributor cap and rotor, and the fuel filter. The MAP sensor is good and there are no vacuum leaks. The spark plugs were replaced 2,000 miles ago. I put an entire can of carb cleaner through the TBI and I regularly use injector cleaner in the gas tank and I ran a whole can of sea foam through the tank after the problem started. The problem is not causing a check engine light to illuminate. Any thoughts?
