I know Dynamat is good for doors and speaker areas to produce cleaner noise, but has anyone removed the carpet and put fatmat or dynamat down on the floor pan to quiet things down?

I have not gone to the trouble of dynamating the floor. Many in car audio do this though - and they claim good results.

It is a hell of a lot of work though. People who do this much dynamat can add 100 lbs or more to a car. Too much for me.

I did my doors and I quit after that. The floor seemed to be impossible to do after a while, so I quit while I was still agead. it did make a quieter ride though.

Fatmat seems to be lighter but as effective. People on the car audio forums are talking about "eDead 45" and "eDead80" as being just as good and priced well too.

Vero, you did your Dodge? Was it road noise you were trying to eliminate?

Remember the F250 driver doors have already been done...and the rear speakers...

I've still got most of a whole roll of FatMat in the garage. I did my F150 when I had it. The trunk of the Stang was solid with it, as was the back of my Exploder. Haven't done any stereo stuff to the TBSS. Extra weight = NoNo!!!. Grand Am? Nada there either. It works great, though. But like said, doing a full interior is WORK.

Yes, I did this to my Ram. I wanted to get rid of some of the road noise. It wasnt really that bad, but I found some mat on ebay for cheap and went with it.

Talk to me in 3-5 months. Plan to use it in our '53 Pickup project.

1ag, I am planning on using some on a friend's ride, whatever I have left I'll be glad to send you. We'll have to see what's left. If you need it sooner (it's still too cold here to apply properly) I'd suggest Ebay. That's where I got it.

RAAMmat & a closed cell foam or neoprene are the way to go for sound deadening!

Trust me, if it's good enough for Chris Pate it's good enough for me!!

RAAMmat to kill the vibrations and add mass, closed cell foam to absorb additional sound and road noise!
