as part of a HS rivalry thing ESPN is doing. The game was moved from Friday to Thursday.

This is a pretty cool deal! Wish I could have got to play on TV when I played for Belton, and never lost to Temple!!

It has been talked about for a few months. The rumor was ESPN was talking to Coach Monsen about moving the game to Floyd Casey Stadium. I will give Coach Monsen props for standing his ground and keeping the game at Wildcat. It is a district game against a rival, and at the end of the season when playoff spots are going to be available. I want that game at home, too. (Plus, it will bring some publicity to Temple, instead of Baylor or Waco.)

I am with Smirk 100%. While it would be nice for a bigger venue so more fans could attend the game, you don't give up a home game with possible playoff implications. As a taxpayer, I am also glad to see it not move and send all our local tax dollars that would be generated that night up I35.
