Can't stand Andy Wallace, or any of the channel 25 folks. They are a bunch of ambulance chasers!

I don't watch the news on Channel 25....I read their website for weather. I know nothing about the ambulance chasing, as that's not my point. Andy's written forecast online was about as accurate as anyone's, and moreso than anyone else in the area.

To me, Andy was much more accurate that Rusty Garrett. One of the Aggie meteorologists on texags did an internship with him and said he was one of the best.

FWIW, kwtx.com is the second place I go to for weather.

I've been gone from Centex a long time, but I still think it is cool seeing Robert Flores on ESPN.

Where did he go. He was my man for weather also.

He moved to Oklahoma City.

He will work part-time while furthering his education.

He actually cried on the video on the weather website.

Probably good that I missed it then.

I don't watch local news at all, but I do check on the weather and certainly used their online forecasts as my planner because they were always the closest to correct.

I wonder who they will hire in his place?

I believe they said that Allen Gwyn would be taking his spot as chief meteorologist.

I don't care for the Olga chick on the weekends, though.

Again, I only know what I see on their website. I NEVER watch news on television.

yeah, it was cool living in Killeen and seeing Robert go from the local cbs channel to the austin channel and then, all of a sudden, ESPN. kinda crazy, but good for him.

Thats too bad about Andy Wallace- I figured something was up when they started to stock pile meterologists over there. He always did a great job in the classrooms- my Mom had him come to her 2nd grade class a couple of times and he was great!

Personally though, I watch Andy Anderson on Ch. 6- might be the only one, but oh well. Started on Ch. 6 with Mike Clay back in the day then Bruce Thomas and have carried on with Andy.

And yeah, seeing Flores on SportsCenter is awesome!

I'm pretty sure that Andy left for a better job closer to home.

Yeah, Waco is a 95 (largest) market, and OKC is 45. Also, I'm pretty sure OKC overpays for wx talent...big weather market there.

Is this a repeater station for KXXV channel 25 or is this an real, seperate station?

Best weatherman ever: Doug Brown, who was on Ch 10, before Roy Cook, and went to a station in Houston.

You guys are old. Then again, so am I if I remember that.

The extent of my weather memory only takes me back to Stu Bowersox on Ch. 25 (who I got to be Wendy's Junior Weathercaster with in 1991!) and Mike Clay on Ch.6. For my money, the best to ever come through here was Bruce Thomas. I will never forget his marathon broadcasting during the I-35 Tornados in '97.

And as for Doug Brown, he spent a good deal of time at Ch. 13 in Houston, so yeah, he did ok for himself.

I can't remember what Andy Wallace looked like. We watch channel 10.

I think it was Johhny Watkins that did the Farm Show.

Johnny Watkins did a show called "10 Acres."

That is right. It was a fixture in the area until I moved away. When I came back this time, he was gone.

Roy Ackland KCEN vs. Roy Cook KWTX

I remember Harly Berg and I feel "Mr Personality" Roy Cook was the best TV weatherman in the local area.

I played golf with Stu several times. I believe that he was a Miss. St. grad. Said he would have loved to goto A&M because of the meteorology dept, but couldn't afford the out of state tuition.
