Dear Aggie Family,
Eight years ago, a young lady by the name of Mandy LaCombe was driving home one night when a roll-top wrecker slammed into her vehicle. Doctors told Mandy that she would not be able to breathe on her own, much less ever walk again. Her prognosis was bleak. Though the doctors predicted the worst, Mandy ignored them, pushing herself everyday to become self sufficient.
Over the years and with the help of great doctors and therapists, Mandy has been able to breathe on her own again, drive her own vehicle, and attend college on a full time basis. Even though she has been able to accomplish much in these eight years, she still has the seemingly insurmountable task of financing her rehabilitation and medical expenses. For this reason, I, along with some of Mandy’s closest friends, have organized a golf tournament to help.
We have formed a partnership with Traditions Golf Club for the tournament and The Republic for the dinner. This is promising to be a great event and we would be honored if you could join us as a sponsor, a player, or both. There will be prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and a car from Garlyn Shelton BMW for a hole-in-one.
Format: Shotgun four-man scramble
Date: Dinner on September 9 and Tournament on September 10th
Time: 6:20 pm , 6:40 pm, 7:00 pm, and 7:20 pm dinner times staggered to accommodate players
8am Shotgun start
Locations: The Republic Steakhouse and Traditions Golf Club
Cost: $200 per person to play*
Sponsorship levels vary. Please contact Dan Garcia at helpmandywalk@gmail.com for sponsorship information.
If you are interested in sponsoring or playing please email us at helpmandywalk@gmail.com
*Cost includes dinner, green fees, and goodie bag
