I just got back from Corpus Christi on a 3-day consulting gig. Does the wind always blow? I've been to coastal cities on the east coast, west coast, gulf coast, all over Mexico, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Hawaii...etc...etc...and I never experienced constant wind (not just a breeze). There were no storms or rain - just wind.

The locals we spoke to said the wind always blows year round and you just get used to it. I think it would drive me crazy.

I was there this past Wednesday, Thursday (watched the A&M vs. Memphis game at Buffalo Wild Wings), and Friday. By the way, The Executive Surf Club has an outstanding lunch. We had the combo nachos and the fried shrimp wrap. Hands down probably the best meal I've had in several months and we've been on the road eating out a lot lately. The nachos are maybe the best I've had ever.

Yeah, it always is windy. You just get use to it and don't even realize it.
Surf Club does have good food and until recently, was the only place with decent music.

It was always fun playing b-ball on the hoops in back of the elemetary when I was in school.

Yes, and it can really suck balls. One of the few things I liked about Laredo...no wind.

It was real windy the week you were here. Even us locals noticed it.

March always seems to be a little worse.

Shrimp Wrap at the Surf is great...heck, everything is pretty good there.

Its only windy when I go fishing.

Lived in CC for 13 years 60-73, wish I was there now, however, windy March and April, rest of year not so bad. When fronts march across northern parts of US, alot of wind is drawn into them from the Gulf. Same here in MS!! Really miss he fishing in CC, Baffin Bay, Land Cut, or Laguna Madre, to be exact.

Although, when it is windy in Chicago, it is WINDY. I remember one time walking down the street by the Sears Tower, and I thought I was walking through a V8 commercial.

I went down there to see my family for Easter last weekend and figured, "Hey, it's April, it's Corpus. I won't need to pack a jacket."

Big Mistake...

I made the same "no jacket" decision. Luckily, I had left a sweater there when I went for Christmas.

Corpus is one of the most windiest cities in the world

It's all the mexicans farting after Kiko's and Taqueria Jaliscos causing all that wind.
