I just notice that this morning.

My friend was the new DJ there...she started the middle of October...now she doesn't have a job again.

Another friend told me something about the owner's son is a meth addict and he relapsed the week before and was high on the air while interviewing Brandon Rhyder. Appparently he was calling him by the wrong name and yelling racial slurs a la Michael Richards.

Did it go the way of 104.7 in Victoria? Changed formats.

104.7 is still country....just classic country.

94.7 changed to Tejano.

I heard that interview, it was horrible. He was naming brandon Jenkins songs, and said somthing that the censor guy cut out. When Someone said somthing about it the DJ said that it didn't matter because they would bleep it out. The band seemed pretty shocked.

If that is the reason I feel sorry for Daddy D.

It sounds like it was pretty bad.


On a side note, I think 104.7 is doing Lonestar Live on Wednesdays again. Or...they were for awhile.

I think Egon slips in a few Texas country songs whenever he can.

Well, I will miss the music...but the DJ's were AWFUL (94.7)! That guy "the three" always pissed me off. Seriosuly, I would get so peeved just listening to him flap his gums....gggrrrrr.

I'm hearing through the grapevine that 104.7 in Victoria is going back to the old format.

94.7 in CC is dead. They need a repeater for 98.7 down here.

fyi- "The Three" was Daddy D's son...aka the owners son...aka the alleged meth head (never heard about that one though, however, i live in c/s)

Daddy D had planned on shutting it down for a while, Tejano pays the bills he says. Once he gets everything back rolling again he wants to do another Texas music station.

The fact is, he just couldn't make any money through ads and he was in the tejano stuff before so is doing it again to make up some ground.

He'll have it back though. He's a good guy with an ear for music....except for tejano, oh well.

He's always been an avid supporter of our band and I personally hope he's able to continue on with "Texas Radio"
