A Texas A & M freshman from Beaumont is in extremely critical condition at a hospital in Nebraska following a car wreck.

Police say on Wednesday, November 22, 18 year old Lauren Bernard was the passenger in a car driven by a man who ran a red light.

The vehicle collided with another car near Omaha, Nebraska.

Both drivers are okay, but Lauren was ejected and is in critical condition.

In May, Lauren graduated from West Brook High School in Beaumont, where she had been a cheerleader.

An account has been set up at the Neches Federal Credit Union in Beaumont to help Lauren's mother and family with expenses.

For more information, call 835-1471.
