We are hearing from different development companies and companies that do demographic studies that we are the next "Katy" in the Houston area. 17,000 new homes in the next 5 years. I'm not looking forward to it. I hate the Katy area. We are building a second high school in about 2-3 years. Opening up a 3rd junior high next year...but, they may just make it a 5th and 6th grade campus. We've opened 5 new campuses since 2002.

I actually live in Porter...which isn't as bad as New Caney. There are a ton of people moving out here. Lots of white flight from Humble/Kingwood. Kind of like what Lumberton has experienced the last decade.
