Headed down there the weekend of August 14-16 and curious about beach access.

I'm not familiar with all the beaches down there and saw that many are closed. I'm curious what's open. Just looking for a place to setup a canopy and chill, which apparently can't be done on a few of the beaches per the corpus city website.

You can't hangout on the corpus proper beaches like north beach and McGee beach but those suck anyway.

Most folks head to the island but there will still be a vehicle ban in place so you'll have to park on the road and carry your stuff to the beach. Go off 361 and Any access road should do- From Zahn rd to To access road 1 in Port A.

It's pretty incredible to see miles of beach with no vehicles. If you're in shape and can hike your gear further from the crowds it would be pretty nice.
