Not sure what you mean by "east shore".

Inexpensive: Sonny's, Shrimp N Stuff, the Spot

Expensive: Rudy and Paco's, Shern's (at Moody Gardens), The Steakhouse at the San Luis

Mosquito Cafe on 14th St. is nice also (not expensive).
