Never heard of this before, but looks like this is the "2nd annual" one.

Wife and I got nothing going on, so we're going down (from Houston) and spending the weekend there to see what it's about. We like wine. Got a room at the Harbor House 21 and reservations at Shearn's for a wine dinner Fri night, and then going to the wine fest in the park on Saturday.

Anybody go last year or going this year? recommendations, reviews etc?

Glad to hear that! I knew the menu looked awesome, and knew that they are supposedly 'fine dining', but I was a little worried since it is a restaurant in a "theme park" (Moody Gardens).

Pretty good.

The Friday night dinner at Shearn's was the highlight, by far. AMAZING food, great wine by Alexander Valley.

The wine fest itself on Saturday was just okay - much smaller than I was expecting - just one corner, maybe 20 folding tables with wine reps.
Good food samples from some local places.

Have been both years and can't wait to make it tradition (or is it)....

Best friend is a Wine Rep and we all went to school in Galvatraz so we blow it out that weekend .

Catch it next year!
