It looks like Corpus might be spared, but it will still be affected. I have also posted info from around the Coastal Bend.

HEB says they still have plenty of bread, water, and gasoline.

Keeping an eye on Ike Coastal Bend Area Evac Info

Aransas County: Mandatory evacuation of all residents who are not deemed essential employees. Goose Island SP is evacuated and closed.

Corpus Christi: City hall closes tomorrow at noon. I-37 Contra-flow CANCELED. Mustang Island SP is evacuated and closed. The Lex and Aquarium are closed.

Kingsville: Voluntary evacuation. Free sandbags available at Commissioner Nerio Garza Public Works Building on East Corral. Students who need a ride from A&I, meet at Lewis Hall on University Boulevard promptly at 7 a.m. Thursday to ride a bus to A&M International in Laredo.

Port Aransas: Library closed Tuesday so its staff could help issue re-entry cards to residents, City Manager Michael Kovacs said.

The cards are meant to help residents more easily pass through checkpoints to return to the city after an evacuation. City officials planned to continue to issue the cards today at City Hall, 710 W. Avenue A.

Portland: Mayor urges residents to leave.

Refugio County: Bayside, Austwell and Tivoli are under a mandatory evacuation order. Residents in Woodsboro and Refugio are under a voluntary evacuation order. If you need a ride, buses available at Bayside’s City Hall Community Center, Austwell’s City Hall, Tivoli’s Volunteer Fire Department building, between 8 and 10 a.m. and 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday.

Rockport: If an evacuation order is issued, officials with the city of Rockport plan to travel to Bastrop and set up a temporary city hall.

San Patricio County: County officials have been meeting since Monday to prepare for a possible evacuation and staying in contact with the National Weather Service.

"Right now we're ready to roll," Judge Simpson said.

Crews likely will board up the county courthouse today, he said.

San Patricio officials spent Tuesday setting up the Emergency Operations Center, based out of the sheriff's department in Sinton.

William Zagorski, San Patricio's emergency management coordinator, said officials decided to wait until today to decide whether to call for an evacuation.

thanks for the info! a friend that works for the coast guard said that they and the navy will be evacuated tomorrow.

what chance do you think there is that this thing will move west instead of northwest and hit corpus?

Caller Times talked about the naval personnel being evacuated. Here's an Caller Times Article on it if you haven't already seen it.

A friend of mine has been watching it on stormpulse.com. All of the models have it going north, and he says that based on what he has seen the past several days, POC is not the place to be. Of course he isn't a meteorologist, just a guy with too much free time on his hands! His meteorologist friend has been predicting CC the last several days, but I do not know what he has said today. Maybe he will chime in.

Most sources now agree and have the hurricane going in between Freeport and Galveston. That's a terrible entry point for Houston folks.

Looks like Corpus might not be a bad place to be Friday night...

I think everything is fine. They closed 361 around Packery because of water on the road.

Aransas county (the county across the channel from Port A) lifted their evacuation order.

San Juan Restaurant was the only restaurant open yesterday.
