I row for A&M’s Crew Team. We are a fairly new organization involved with a very expensive sport. We have been very competitive this year having placed and won several races. We are still light years away from being on par with programs like TU, LSU, and Baylor. All of our equipment is used and many of our boats are a collection of parts from what other more established programs throw away. None the less we are very grateful for what we have, and take great care of it.

We just received an email from a former Olympic rower who has offered to coach us. This is an amazing opportunity for us since all of our previous instruction has come from members of our team who are also lacking in experience. The only thing keeping us from taking advantage of this amazing opportunity is we don’t have a launch for him to coach us from. A launch is basically a small boat that a coach drives along side in to be able to have a better view of the rowers. A real rowing launch would be over five thousand dollar, but anything that floats and has a motor would work for us.

If anyone has any type of John Boat or some similar type of small boat and would be willing to donate it or sell it to us at a very affordable price would really be appreciated. Even if you just have either the boat or motor and you are looking to get rid of it please let us know.

I really appreciate the time anyone takes to read this.

I'll keep my eye out.

My roommate was on Aggie Crew when he was at TAMUG.
