My daughter lost her beloved Chuy (3 yr old Cockatiel) who escaped on Friday night and she is absolutely heart broken. Chuy was last seen flying southwest from her neighborhood (Blackhorse Ranch South off 290 and Fry Rd) towards the Bridgelands in Northwest Houston. After searching for him for two days straight, we are trying to get the word out as far as we can in the hopes that someone will call us if they see him. They have been know to fly some long distances.
Chuy (see picture below) is extremely friendly and will usually come to anyone if called. He is a small bird with a white body, yellow crest and bright orange cheek patches (see picture on flier) who loves to talk and imitate a phone ringing.
If you can watch for Chuy and ask neighbors if they might have seen such a bird, we would very much appreciate it. He will likely show up at somone's bird feeder for food so we feel certain that someone somewhere will see him.
Please help us bring Chuy home - we are praying for a miracle as we miss him dearly. If anyone sees him please call 832-347-7186. Thank you for your help.
