I am going to be in Lufkin from Sept through Feb for work and was wondering if any one knew of a gym/health club/workout place.

Livewell Athletic Club next to the Lufkin Mall, it's ok, but there are some Churches in Lufkin that also have workout areas that are much cheaper and less crowded. I know First Baptist Church in dowtown Lufkin has a walk/run track and workout machines, I think its a one time fee of $60 and it's never crowded.

More people in Lufkin need to take advantage of workout places around town. Last time I was there I was blown away by the perponderance of fat. I didn't remember the town being that large.

LiveWell in Lufkin is pretty nice. Alot of weights, indoor track, tennis/racquetball courts, outdoor trail, basketball courts, other stuff. Not too expensive.
