This applies to rural East Texas:

Paid Direct TV bill today for $177. The ONLY reason I have held on is for SECN and ESPN for college football.

We have Starlink and watch WAY more streaming services.

THOUGHTS/OPINIONS?

I left DISH for YouTube TV. I turned it off after March Madness. I am in the same boat as you...is there something better?

We have Starlink. Great internet. Wife does weekly hour and half zoom meetings. We are old, so just watch the streaming reruns. Games we wanted to watch were on ABC so watched Aggie football for free.
That being said, I just saw ESPN came out with 29.99 ap for ESPN, SEC, ESPN Plus and ESPN2 and something else. That almost sounds worth it for September through bowl season.

I am in Brownsboro and we have Starlink as well as YouTube TV. I had Direct TV for years and got tired of the price increases. YouTube TV is great! They are having a contract dispute with FOX right now, but they will get it ironed out.

Sling is running $4.99 24 hour pass. Can catch all games on espn,ESPN 2 and U and SEC.
We plan to get this when there are good matchups are not on abc won't watch for gimme games

We cut the cord in 2015, and the prices of everything have started to creep up as we expected them to. We dropped YouTube TV after their last price increase, which was over $90 to get the package with the SEC network, and I still wasn't getting the Rangers. We went eight months without any live TV besides HD OTA, and didn't really notice any difference. We recently added Netflix back, but we will likely drop it soon in favor of ESPN's app, allowing us to save $60/month and still access all the A&M content I want.

I know a few people who have gone back to cable as their base live tv provided and are very happy with it.

Interesting to know about the sling pass.
