Funny, I clicked on this forum by accident and saw the title of this post. I live in SA but my husband of 28 years grew up in Palestine and his parents still live there. I don't know where you're coming from but I think it's great. It reminds me of Bryan a looooong time ago. Small but has medical and grocery stores. Beautiful part of the country, especially if like me you live in South Texas!

We stopped at the new Jalapeno Tree across from WalMart the other day and it was pretty good.

Pint & Barrel and The Ox Bow Cafe - both just off of downtown, next to each other are good. The Ox Bow is nothing but pies, I believe.

We love it here. Small town feel, some great houses, no traffic.
