In town a couple nights. Where should we eat, no chains please. Any good homegrown restaurants? tia

There's a pretty decent little BBQ joint out in the middle of nowhere (west/southwest of town) called Rumps.

They're worth a drive out for lunch.

Switch, Red Fire Grill, or Pint and Barrel. Switch is always good and cool atmosphere. Red fire grill is fine dining. Food is fantastic but be prepared to pay. Pint and Barrel is a pub that features craft beers, but their food is spot on.

Thanks for replies. There were 7 of us (work related), so hard to agree. Went to Little Mexico on Tuesday night. Food was good but no alcohol. Went to Denby's last night. Really good food but understaffed so it turned inyo a 2+ hr dinner.
Had breakfast at Taqueria Mexicano Grill, migas were good, and not skimpy.
