I have family in the Gilmer/Pittsburg area. My wife and I really love the area (Tyler, Longview, etc.).

We live in the Austin area right now.. I took a job here which was good for my career, but the traffic sucks, etc.

I'm really open to about anything jobwise (except for sales) at this point, but would prefer something in training, teaching, or working with people in some way.

I have a BS in Wildlife, and MA in Education, a Teaching Certificate from TN (don't want to teach any longer).

10 years experience in employee training, volunteer management, curriculum writing, and resource (environmental) education.
3 years experience in HR
1 year teaching HS
1 year part time - Adult education
2.5 years environmental surveys (vegetation, endangered species, invasive species management).

Always look into Trane. They seem to hire a lot. But also layoff a lot.

Just a shot in the dark, but I'm the District Manager for a major insurance company in east Texas and I have 3 spots this year to fill. You would be an agency owner... DON'T let that scare you. You have a guaranteed income for the first 3 years, then your renewals and new business commissions would take over. Full benefits, bonuses, support and training from my staff and the company... I have 35 agencies in this area and we are doing very well.

I started this business in 99 in Austin and it has been GREAT for my family and me. It's not for everyone, but it could be for you...

My in-laws own a staffing company in Tyler and one of their clients is the Tyler (Caldwell) Zoo. I don't think they actually staff the professional staff there but I am sure they could get you in the door to speak with someone. If interested post back here or my email is in my profile.
