I grew up in Paris, and my parents/grandparents still live there. What ya got?

oh, just soliciting possible new friends! ha.

ive been living here like a year and a half, and have yet to find any quality people to hang out with. i didnt grow up here, so i dont know anyone really. i mean, i know people...but not anyone who meets the standards of what a friend is.

i probably sound really lame right about now haha.

Yea, it's a tough town to move to without knowing anyone, but I can help out. Which company brought you to Paris (if I had to guess I'd say Kimberly-Clark?)

my parents moved here in while i was in cs. didnt have a job after college, so i just moved here to save some money. working with a nonprofit in town for now. working on finding jobs elsewhere, but its been tough.

I hear ya, Add me on facebook, search and I'll contact some friends up there now (college grads, not local rednecks) and see if I can get you introduced.

I travel through there often, and I have lots of family up there. Check out buffalo joes for beer, music, and burgers

GirlF, my advice would be get the hell out of there ASAP.

I've lived in 10+ towns/cities among AR, OK, and TX (including Paris) and that place easily out-sucks any of them.

If you've been there for 1.5 years, you know that the options are basically:

-trips to Sun Valley and Toco for package liquor
-crappy bars in town
-spotlighting and shooting things
-inverted keg shots at pasture parties

Employment opportunities are dim as well. You could get a gig running drugs out of McCurtain County, but I don't think that's the crowd you're looking for.

The town is the same size as it was in WWII and that's not going to change anytime soon.

and as far as i know we still have to go to toco or sun valley for liquor. like...besides going to the bar, of course. although, where i live toco is probably just as far for me to travel as going back into town would be for liquor.

i am working on getting out of here, though. for sure. lots of out of town/state apps put in and such. so crossing my fingers!

I grew up there.
I hate to agree with previous posts, but except for going back to visit my parents, there's not much of a reason to go to Paris.
I posted a link to this for someone on facebook I was at A&M with who's in Paris now.

I hooked her up with some friends that work at KC in Paris.

Also, glad to see the town partially got of its ass and allows beer sales. That would have saved 300 guadtrillion miles of driving for me.
