No gar, but I've caught plenty of crappy and catfish just below the spillway. I've spent a large part of my youth above and below the spillway. Is The Point restaurant still open? What about the bait shop just below the spillway? I remember they had a pet squirrel there once that would run wild in there. This makes me want to come home.

Marcal, I hate to say it, but I don't know about either. I have not driven out to the dam in a while. Might be time for a trip out that way since the weather is getting nicer.

the point restaurant i know is closed. not to sure on the bait shop. caught a garr at the spillway on an ultralight rod once, thought i had a whale on the end.

Oh...here.

The bait shop was open in the late 90's. A friend got me a bumper sticker from it. I've spent a lot of time on that river, and the lake as well.
