I am a former student of Texas A&M (Class of 2011)and will be getting married at the beginning of May (to an Aggie, Class of 2012). I currently live in Houston, but will be moving to Abilene, TX shortly after our wedding. I am in the process of researching available job opportunities in Abilene, TX and would appreciate any job leads. While in college I studied Sport Management and received Business Administration and Dance minors. Currently, I specialize in marketing/organizing sporting events in Houston and help to fulfill sponsorship elements within contracts.

I don't know Abilene very well, but I believe there are at least 3 colleges and 2 big High schools in Abilene if you want to stick with sports related job.

Give the Abilene Zoo a shot. They have some interesting jobs posted from time to time.

I have no clue if they have any openings or anything, but you might check out D1. They do athlete training, therapy, etc. and might be up your alley as far as sports management goes. Good luck and welcome to Abilene!
