Make sure you look into housing ASAP out here in the Petroplex. They are building as fast as they can, but it is still a bit crazy out here.
You should be able to search a few of the recent posts on "West Texas" for some pointers.

Thanks for the heads up. Waterford Ranch or the northwest side of town seems like the places to live.

NW Midland is the hot property area.
Far East side of Odessa near Faudree Rd is building up some nice new places.

* I'm sure you know this, but make sure there is availability where you would want to go.
Maybe, hopefully it is getting better for newly graduated Aggies to make Midland/Odessa their new home.

It seems like not that bad of a place to go right out of school, plus the oilfield money is a bonus. OCC has my interest if I do end up getting a job out there.

Just moved here and started my job in the last week. I was looking at Waterford Ranch as well. Awesome looking apartments, but just a bit too expensive for me. I was able to get an apartment at the much older Aviare Place right on the loop for about $300 less a month. Not a bad apartment complex at all. If you end up in the area give me a shout!

Must compliment GyroData on the equipment. You guys seem to take good care of your trucks, something a lot of businesses can't manage around here.

OP, are you not looking for a salesperson with experience? Seems MWD, etc would almost certainly require it.

I wish I could help you out with actually acquiring work out here, but I'm afraid I'm limited on that front.
