I was curious as to how much cheaper the boots are there. I've heard you can get two exotics for the price of one. True or false? I might find my way up there at some point.

If that is true please let us know. Those are the only boots I own. I got very lucky to find a pair of brown lizard with turquoise tops on sale in Jackson Hole for only 300... i thought it was a steal compared to my first pair.

I also found a cheap pair at the Grapevine Outlet mall. There is a western wear store inside..can't remember the name. They had a blemish, but you really have to look hard to see it and when they are on my feet who is staring at my ankles?

I've heard it is true. My friend and his brother went a while ago and bought like 2-3 pairs each because they were so cheap. I'll look into it more.

It depends...there are actually 2 Lucchese factory stores in EP. One is much smaller and has mostly exotic Lucchese Classics, while the other is on the highway, much larger, and is mostly the machined boots (1883, Lucchese 2000, etc.), but you might find a basic pair of Classics if you hunt hard enough.

The first place has nicer boots, and they are at a discount to retail Lucchese Classics, but not a really deep cut. When I was there, I got a pair of crocodile belly for ~$950, and they usually retail for ~$1,200. The selection also varies a lot. From what I gather, these boots come from people that ordered Lucchese Classics and returned them for fit issues or have minor blemeishs as noted above. That being said, if you go to this store with a specific boot in mind (Congac Ostrich), they will probably not have it.

The second store is where you get the crazy deals, but the boots are a little lower quality. When my wife went, they had buy one pair get two free in her size, so she walked out with 3 pair of boots for ~$350. This store doesn't have a lot of exotics, and they are usually in the 1883 or 2000 line, but there are still good deals to be had.
