I am trying to find a good contractor to remove and replace some cool decking at a doctor's house in Big Spring. I need to re-wire his pool lights, as the original contractor direct buried indoor romex to the lights and one is shorted out. The decking is cracked and needs to be removed, where I can do my digging. I know lots of Mexicans* with trowels, but I need a legitimate pool contractor.
*I am not a racist, but everyone has a Mexican friend who pours concrete.

I used to be a Project Manager in the DFW area and my experience is that the best concrete men usually were hispanic. I'm sure many of them were mexicans, but man they did good work!
To answer your question, most pool specialists in west texas are too busy to look at small jobs.
You might contact someone that supplies the poolcrete product and ask them for names of guys that do small jobs. They may have some guys that are retired that do small jobs for cash.

So besides correcting me about hispanics and mexicans, it's apparent you don't know any pool contractors that carry insurance and workman's comp in West Texas. I never said the job was small and I was seeking referrals from people who had had pools built or flat concrete work done around a pool. My doctor buddy already had a dose of some hispanics putting in cool decking and concrete. That is why it all has to come out.
