Thought the fellow West Texans might find this interesting. Maybe it's been posted before. I ran across this a few years ago. It's a draft copy of the Constitution of the State of West Texas from the Reconstruction era when there was discussion of breaking up Texas into separate states.

Those are some strange borders for a place called the State of West Texas. Interesting nonetheless.
