Back in 1990, I used to live at Desert Shadows Apartments by Sunset Mall in San Angelo. What are the apartments like today?

Also, there were two nightclubs on Knickerbocker Road I think, both in the same shopping center. one was called Finnegan's and the other was called Maximus. Anyone know if either of these are still around?

Well cant say Im surprised about finnegans- wasnt very busy at all when i worked there- boss couldnt even pay me to play music. Maximus was busy as heck though.

Desert Shadows in the 90s was a nice place to live- great first apartment for me. I used to go to Pinnochio's Pizza for lunch in the strip center by Sunset Mall. Im sure its gone too...

I think Maximus is still open. It's the one by the church. I drive by it between CS and Mideezy.

Max isn't the same as what was in Southwest Plaza. It is a "gentleman's" club now....

Also, Pinnochios dies years ago. Can't remember the name of it, but there is a large club off of Sherwood Way that I think pretty much killed off the other clubs.

Pinochio's rocked.

And Graham's Central Station killed off all the other clubs.

Shakey's closed a long time ago. At one time, that Shakey's was the largest money-making Shakey's in the world. That changed, though, when the owner & his wife got a divorce & sold it. He bought it back later, but it was too late to undo the damage done by the interim owners. That location then became an International Buffet, but it's been closed for some time.
