Position: Tax Managers & Tax Senior Associates

  • Review and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Non-Profit, gift, multi state and TX franchise).
  • Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates.
  • Conduct complex tax research and prepare memorandum outlining findings and conclusions.
  • Delegate projects to staff that can handle them most efficiently and provide accounting and tax assistance to staff as needed.
  • Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters.
  • Assist with employee training for new hires and ongoing employee training.
  • Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by Management and Clients.
  • Takes direction and reports to the Shareholders of the tax department.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Valid CPA License required
  • Master's in public accounting or master's in business administration, preferred
  • 3-5 plus years of experience in the public accounting field, preferably in the Agriculture, Low-Income Housing, Oil & Gas, Government, Non-profit and/or Multi-state segments
  • Recent graduates are also considered
  • Possess knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Experience with ProSystem fx Tax and Engagement software preferred



Position: Audit Managers & Audit Senior Associates

  • Implement client's engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing audit projects).
  • Demonstrate through knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS rules and standards.
  • Manage engagements budgets.
  • Responsible for supervising team members and delegating assignments.
  • Reviews auditing schedule and conducts audits in accordance to the specified schedule.
  • Consults with the client in a trustworthy manner, makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to meet productivity and efficiency standards (billable Hours).
  • Adheres to the independence, integrity and objectivity rules, regulations, interpretations and rulings of the AICPA, the State of Texas Board of Accountancy, and the Texas Society of CPA's, and other regulatory agencies, where applicable.
  • Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Assist Shareholders on proposals and business development calls.
  • Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Valid CPA License
  • Master's in public accounting or master's in business administration
  • 3-5 plus years of experience in the public accounting and audit within the industries listed above
  • Recent graduates are also considered.
