Yes, going into the Navy and being in the Corps of Cadets at the Maritime Academy seems like a silly thing to do. Galveston is a branch of TAMU - not a system school - same diploma, same Aggies.

I am pleased with our final two choices. I know many still think RJ is a carpetbagger, but he grew up in Levelland, and that's pretty darn close to home, with very similar issues. I would also hate to think that we would disqualify someone who hasn't recently lived in the district because they had a military career.

Still ultimately voting Winegarner, but I am happy with either outcome.
