Anybody notice his song "Get Crunk" in the background of the Sopranos? I'm still a fan of his but I wonder why 97.9 doesn't play any of his new songs. He probably burned 1 too many bridges when he was hiding from TI.

i still jam his old stuff and he deserves quite a bit of credit for where the houston rap game is today but to be honest i can barely listen to him anymore. his voice is different and his rhymes are usually pretty wack. and calling yourself "fliperachi" is not cool. i miss his old screwed freestyles. some artists should just go off the head and not try to write their rhymes down.

all houston rap has gone to ****. its the same rehashed lines over over and over.

its seriously terrible.

thats why i pretty much only listen to Devin, Z-Ro, and K-Rino

3 of the best artists in the nation, from houston, that you will very rarely hear on their own hometown stations. i still root for the other asrtists, but its pathetic...i want to listen to mike jones like i want a hole in my head.

dude is in jail again for 1-2 years i believe. Z-Ro is unreal. Houston's 2Pac. some consider this blasphemy but to me he rips Pac to shreds.

and he's real. he was never enrolled in 'art school' and was never in a band like Digital Underground. nothing against DU, but Pac loved to talk about the 'thug life'...Ro IS a thug. not that its a good thing by any means, but youre not listening to a fraud when you jam z-ro, youre listening to a dude talk about his life...all the while spitting heat.

I'm quite certain Z-Ro is out. Why Flip says free Z-Ro still; I don't know. But I think his new album dropped last month.

The June 27th 45 minute freestyle set the bar way too high. Nothing can ever top that flow or the trillness of it. Hell, they've even tried to make spin off songs from verses of that freestyle. June 27th has, and always will be the best Screw jam ever, and it's not even close.

I agree Z-Ro is my favorite rapper, but I dig on Slim Thug too. I like to listen to lyrically savvy guys, but the flow doesn't have to be great for me to dig on the rapper. I mean I like Three Six and Project.
