My wife and I are in need of an Elder Attorney preferably someone who has experience handling Texas Medicaid long-term care planning.

My mother in law doesn't have much as far as assets, but her Alzheimer's and dementia is progressing on her short term memory quite rapidly and I believe you can't have nearly anything to your name to enter Medicaid facility. We need some guidance on what to do.

If she doesn't have a lot of assets, this is something you can do yourself. Most facilities have a social worker that can advise. I went through this with my dad in a different county, and both lawyers I spoke with said that there was really no need to hire someone based on our situation.
