Our main distribution center is Missouri City. We consistently do not get packages, and when we do, many times they are routed all over the country. They land there, and get shipped out.
A while back, the Missouri City Post Office landed under investigation when Representative Al Green started getting calls about this office specifically. The following came out in JANUARY 2024, a year ago.

Last year, I had my Aggie football parking passes sent to will-call and made the drive to CS to pick them up in person because the post office is so bad. So many of our neighbors talk about not getting packages. Not just late, not showing up. Christmas letters with checks didn't show up. The thought is that the post office in that particular location was just flat taking them. Opening letters and taking the checks. Stealing the gifts.
I recently was mailed 4 letters from the IRS, 3 of which I have not gotten. They were notices that I will be receiving checks. My GUESS is that they see IRS and think refund check and just open them. So many get checks opened at the Post Office in our neighborhood, that we just can't send or receive them.
I had to call the IRS and set up a mailing address that doesn't go thru Missouri City for the actual checks to be mailed to me.
What a pain in the ass. Would be nice if Trump/congress would eliminate the post office and turn it over to private operation.
Yea, dear diary, but does anyone else have their mail go thru that Missouri City location?

And, another article about Missouri City, this one came out in APRIL 2024, Audit was during JanQuote:
"Given the amount of mail they deliver, I don't think it's unreasonable to think there may be some times when there are issues," Green said Friday. "But for it to be consistent and in the numbers that we're seeing is unacceptable.
"I don't know how big this (problem) is," he added, "but it seems to be growing the more I look into it, the more I find out, and that causes me some consternation. I hope we will get this resolved before the (March 5 primary) election, because mail-in ballots are very important pieces of mail."

Well, this ****hole of a Post Office still sucks. I guess Green got the mail in ballots fixed so he's done "investigating". It's way worse now that in Jan '24. I can't have anything important mailed. I think it's actually gone from just incompetent to corruption.Quote:
Audit uncovers 384K pieces of delayed mail during January inspection of USPS Missouri City facility
An audit report released Thursday found hundreds of thousands of pieces of delayed mail and several safety issues plaguing a U.S. Postal Service facility in Missouri City during a visit in January.
The USPS Office of Inspector General conducted an unannounced site visit at the South Houston Local Processing Center in Missouri City from Jan. 28 to Jan. 30, which was during the peak of the mail delays.
