I need to have a couple pairs of shoes re-soled. Have had mixed experiences with Houston Shoe Hospital previously. Are there any cobblers, preferably ITL, that folks here have had good luck with?

Maida's Boots and Shoes on Westheimer between Weslayan and Buffalo Speedway.

Probably not the cheapest option but they do great work and they're good people.

Albert's Shoe Repair - Westside memorial and Kirkwood
Great Western Boots - For boot repair. (Assume still open. Don't wear my boots enough)

They felt like having cobbler for dessert.

Just picked up a pair of boots I had re-soled at Great Western Boots.

The guy is running the shop by himself as his helper quit and he can't get his grandson fully engaged like he hoped.

He said he's probably going to shut down in the near future for a few months so he can get caught up on his custom boot orders. He said he's over a year behind.

Dude does really good work so hope he doesn't hang it up for good.

Al's Handmade Boots has done a few repairs on my shoes. They do really good work.
