Hi - I posted in the Real Estate forum, but do any of you happen to have a vacancy in the Clear Lake or League City area? Our niece & her roommate are looking. They are responsible girls on a budget - not cheap, but trying to find a 2 bedroom under $1500 in a safe area. Are there any local fb pages, etc. where rentals might be listed or close areas they should consider?

That's a tall order for a 2 bedroom.

Not sure what they call it but check out 270 El Dorado.

Also maybe the apartments behind the Academy.

Har.com would be a good place to start. Looks like that price range, 2 bedrooms in that zip code are going to be condos.

They might be able to stretch their budget a little but still want to be able to do stuff.

That's not a huge zip code for residential properties, partly because the Space Center and Armand Bayou take up a lot of the land.

The area around the Space Center/Nassau Bay is safe, as is the Egret Bay Blvd area. I would just stay away from the two tower looking complexes on Egret Bay. We call them the prison. The maintenance and clientele has gone way down since they were first built.

Just outside of that zip code (to the north) just behind that brand new HEB on 45 are at least two or three almost brand new complexes. I have no idea of the prices but they haven't been there long enough to have been trashed by previous tenants. That location is going to be closer to shopping and dining as well.

Avoid anything within 2 blocks of the Bay Area and El Camino intersection.

The new complex behind baybrook may not be as much. The old one behind baybrook is safe enough and quite affordable last I heard.

There a newer one farther into Friendswood down El Dorado that may be affordable.

The ones by the heb are 1 bedroom in that range I believe.
