How long do you want to ignore this user?
Looking for a good buying experience at a Houston-area Toyota dealership. If you can name a specific person to work with, I would love to hear it. Thanks

The Auto board has always recommended Tegeler Toyota in Brenham. Jim Clifton is the salesman that gets mentioned, but I have no idea if he still works there. I've never bought a car from there personally, but that's the Auto board's consistent recommendation

The one that has the car you want at the price you want.

Not Tejas Toyota in Humble. I stopped there the other day while shopping. They have multiple gimmicks added to all the new vehicles I saw. Vin etching, window tinting, 3M door guards, nitrogen in tires, Etc.
I didn't stay long.

Haven't been there since 2016 but....

Fred Haas Toyota. Ask for Jimmy Nguy (assuming he's still there). He's the fleet manager. No hassle

I have bought both of my Toyotas from a contact provided by the Auto board. The dealership is in DFW but they gave a great price, handled everything via phone/email, and delivered both vehicles here to the house at no extra charge. They even took my trade in sight unseen and drove it back with them.

Phenomenal experience with no BS back and forth or setting foot in a dealership.

Has a pain free contact. Last couple times it's been a guy down near clear lake I think.

I really dislike the Keating Toyota in pearland and Don McGill isn't much better.

Probably wouldn't have purchased in Houston without an easy contact

Looks like he's still there:

Seems like all the dealships have terrible ratings, but I like the idea of using an internet sales manager contact to avoid the face-to-face BS hassle.

You do know you can not pay for all of that, right? Have the price you want to pay for the vehicle in mind and stick with it. If they try to add that stuff on top of that price, walk out. They can remove it if they want to make a sale.

In December 2018, I bought a 2017 Odyssey with 14k miles from them. Stickered at $35k, I got it for $29k drive out. They stopped me as we were leaving to accept what I had offered. Everywhere else was stickered at high-30s for 2015-16 with 50k+ miles.

Yes I understand that. But in my experience buying new, I prefer to just leave and not play that game.

To me they are wasting my time.

ADM= a dick move. Wound up getting an F150 and I located several very similar, called and got a drive out price. The ones that had the ADM, I simply told them I would not visit/ buy because of the dick move.

Yeah, I love Toyotas but the dealership experience has to be the worst of any major brand out there.

I'd look at other brands or would buy a gently used model from Carmax or another dealer.
