The one crazy lady running for two is a complete moron and her crazy rants on our neighborhood page are hilariously sad. She also is raising the next Hitler youth based on what her kids do in school. The rest of them are just misinformed morons that have no experience in our schools. They of course just parrot that their opponents are liberal when in fact two of them are republicans. They just don't want to ban books and realize CRT isn't going on in the school so they're not crying about that fake boogie man.

Three dip****s were already elected via the "liberal " scare tactic two years ago. I didn't vote because I wasn't paying attention but I've seen these folks in action the last two year and would rather avoid more of them and their partisan BS on the school board. Henry is a closet racist that already got fired from his job for saying dumbass stuff. And scanlon and his shrillbilly wife are convinced porn is all over the school libraries. The lady elected, blassinegame, isn't as bad but she was fired from her job in education so she must be pretty dumb to get fired from a job in education.

I mean there are a few and a few already on the board, but in this case Ayse. Lecompte is a bit nuts too. Ray, Edwards, and Kalmback are just more useful idiot types. Lane and Fennick seem fine but they will just draw votes away from Mortone and Jaeggi (who are both Repblicans).

Her son drew swastikas on some Asian classmates' clothes last year. I think the Netflix movie Soft and Quiet is probably her life story. Based on what she posts on our neighborhood board she would have been the heavy betting favorite if you asked, "Which member of our community's kid would draw nazi propaganda on kids clothes and call other kids the f and n words at school". This also isn't rumor or gossip mill type stuff. She admitted it in since deleted facebook posts. She scrubbed her social media since she became a candidate. She also hasn't been posting her insane ramblings on our neighborhoods board since then too.

I'm thankful our school district has been able to fend off the crazies. Cy-Fair hasn't been so lucky. Lots of low-info people buying into the "grooming" rhetoric.

Yep pretty much. They just claim their opponents are liberal groomer and hope enough low info people buy into it to get them elected. That is what happened 2 years ago. Just insane. In this case two of the "liberals" are legit Republicans. They just rightful don't buy the nonsense that Cy Fair is grooming kids and teaching CRT.

A lot of conservative folks have frankly woken up to this. I just hope enough see it and go vote.

Same thing happened in Katy. Now we have board meetings talking about whether or not cartoon butts are allowed in library books

Personally, I don't care that a candidate's kid did something stupid. She said as much. This crazy lady accurately brought up at a board meeting that the CFISD "anti-hate" program pretty much defined racism as being exclusive to whites, and being oppressed the role of blacks. I won't fault her for that.

So besides not liking culture warriors, what are your thoughts on who *would* be good conservatives and why? Ideally I'd like to get some more substantive analysis than reducing each candidate down to one bullet point.

She didn't accurately bring up ***** She *****ed about some stick figure video where the "white kids" were the bullies and they always were bullies. When you actually watched the video it was a brown kid that would have been considered the bully. She's also ranted about porn in the libraries when most of the books she *****ed about weren't even in the libraries.

At an open house at her kid's school last year she was literally climbing bookshelves looking for porn books. Yelling our superintendent in groomer so her **** behavior isn't limited to kids. And I say kids because it isn't just one kid that has problems. Her crazy clearly rubs off on them.

Good conservatives won't incessantly lie or misrepresent what is going on in our district about the libraries, CRT, and data mining. Cy fair is a very diverse district. It has rich schools and it also has very poor schools. Despite all those challenges it is still rated an A district. We don't need racists and homophobes like her in charge of anything associated with it. And I know those get thrown around a lot but that is what this person is. She just hides it under the guise of protecting kids like Helen Lovejoy.

She also has lied and *****ed about how Cy fair enforced masks when they were only following Abbott's orders.

She used her mouth piece who looks like he probably shouldn't be allowed within 300 yards of a school due to a court order to straight up lie about the super intendents grand daughter last week on the issue of data mining. She was there behind him looking crazy AF as he ranted. She talks about how terrible data mining is but days later people are getting texts from her campaign. And you can bet the way she got those numbers what through data mining companies that she was just railing about.

If the OP is trying to pretend that there aren't plenty of problems in CFISD thanks to left leaning board members, administrators and faculty, then he is the one who is pushing a bunch of BS. We lived in CFISD until recently and sending our kids to the local public schools was completely out of the question. In fact, our private school has enjoyed an enrollment surge in recent years thanks to people fleeing the declining area CFISD campuses.

Please let me know what scary things are going out in Cy fair. Hopefully it's more substantive than the CRT/scary book boogy man that's being parroted by LERK and Ayse. The other one is Christians are under attack. All while schools are forced to put in god we trust signs up.

The faculty make up is also far from liberal. My wife's school is probably two thirds conservative based on the last presidential election.

You too worried the schools like Bridgeland or Ranch weren't 90% white or something?

If you want god in schools and places that can suspend/kick out problematic kids then yeah private is good for you. Public schools actually have to serve everyone. Not just a subset of shrillbillies.

No man it's because we have child porn like the No David book allowed in the schools.

And if you think I'm exaggerating just look at Katy ISD actually trying to ban that book months ago.

And Cy fair already has a library opt out policy so if you're scared your kid will turn gay from reading a book with a gay character you already have that option.

Literal gay p0rn books being removed from grade school libraries across the nation and states having to pass legislation on it, to which even my most moderate and liberal-lite friends on Instagram weep and gnash teeth over. Videos of concerned parents reading explicit passages from these books and being silenced or removed from school board meetings because it's too graphic for the adults in attendance.

But it's not happening. It's a fake bogeyman. Lol

I will always support people who are adamantly against p0rno groomer books like "Gender Queer" being in any kids libraries.

And you will always support people who are FOR including these books.

We are both firmly entrenched.

Sorry your books are being removed from children's' libraries. You guys know these aren't banned…you can still buy them and read them to your children. Scary that so many of you are so intent on gay smut being available for my children to read in school. Why???

I don't know. I'd rather not wait until they were in my schools to do something about it like so many other places have. I appreciate the proactive approach honestly. They have learned from what has happened in other urban and suburban school districts I guess.

I will always vote for people who are against gay toon p0rn on schools over those who don't think it has been a problem in numerous school districts around the country.

Shrill, estrogen fueled reaction. Must be that time of the month.

You cite the best campuses in the district and try to act like all of them are like that. Try Cy Ridge or Cy Falls or any others besides Cy Woods, Cy Ranch & Bridgeland (and their respective feeder schools). You'll find a lot of subpar "education" going on there.

KISD did not try to ban No David. They instituted a policy prohibiting nudity in elementary school libraries and books like No David were inadvertently caught-up in the mix.

KISD clarified that it should not have ever been, and wont be, removed.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2023/09/26/katy-isd-is-adjusting-its-book-ban-policy-heres-why/

Quote:

On Monday night, the school board clarified its stance on nudity in its policy.

"Overall, the policy has to do with, per the law, keeping harmful and obscene material, sexually explicit materials out of the schools and then we have a section in the policy dealing with elementary schools," said Victor Perez, the President of Katy ISD's school board.

According to Katy ISD's website, 14 books have been removed but Perez told KPRC 2 some folks misinterpreted the removal policy.

"The board did not intend that whatsoever to include for example a 'No, David!' or a 'Wacky Wednesday' book that would include cartoon depictions of little boy's butt. And so, we made it more clear, changed the sentence to say what we're talking about is explicit frontal nudity," Perez said.

"No David!" and "Wacky Wednesday" are no longer on the removal list.

Quote:

The cartoon David takes every opportunity to misbehave but is always reminded that his parents love him anyway, according to the book's publisher, Scholastic Inc. At one point in the story, a David jumps out of the tub and and is pictured running off without clothes on.

Drew Daywalt's "The Day the Crayons Quit" was one of 44 books flagged for review in August that was later retained. An illustration depicts a beige crayon that has lost its wrapper, becoming "naked."

Fox, who voted in favor of the book review policy, said it's an example of how implementation has deviated from the policy's intent.

"Nudity was added to the policy, but a book about a crayon with a wrapper is not nudity. That's not what was intended by the policy," she said. "If this continues, we may have to revisit the definitions of the policy."
