Any experience with concerts at The Rise Rooftop. Show was supposed to be at warehouse live tomorrow and just got moved to there. Never heard of it and curious of the surroundings and safety. I will be chauffeuring some girls and had planned to hang out at little Woodrow's at the other location, now trying to figure out plan B. Do I need to figure out how to get another ticket and be the creepy old dad in the back or can I hang out somewhere till it's over. Any advice appreciated.

So I don't know WTF is going over at Warehouse w/ the plumbing issues, but it sucks to see so many shows getting moved to Rise. I go to an inordinate amount of shows, so I've been there dozens of times. First of all it's not a bad place, and there's a decent amount of places to stand and hang out in the back, behind the bar, etc. Not in a horrible area either, and there's a few places nearby to hang if you want, including Leon's Lounge, The Garden, and Community Bar. There's also a Gloria's Latin Cuisine across the street with a good bar, TVs, etc.

The biggest issue w/ Rise is that the sound almost universally SUCKS for most shows. Now, this may be some EDM type bass-heavy thing where people don't care, but just a warning.

I skipped King's X in part because it moved to Rise and in part because I saw them in their prime and I don't want to ruin those memories with however Dug sounds now.

Thanks echo, feel a bit better now. Went ahead and got a ticket and will sit back and enjoy a couple beers and people watch. Band is Waterparks. Don't know much about them but assume they are like Willie and Waylon. Edit to add just kidding. I'm an old but not that much of an old.

There's also a balcony level section that you can chill up there at as well

Warning: Rise echoes extremely loudly!!! So I would bring earplugs as well

Weren't those two venues always affiliated in some way? It seems like they were always passing out free tickets to Rooftop shows when I went to concerts at the Warehouse.
