Dr. Biswajit Kar would be a great place to start. He's with Memorial Hermann Center for Advanced Heart Failure.

Dr. Noon at Methodist. They have an arrangement with Baylor College of Medicine.

He worked with DeBakey for decades.

Houston Methodist is the hospital to go to and Dr. Ross Reul is the best there

Dr Biswajit Kar at Hermann is great. Hermann and Methodist both have excellent options.

Gerald Lawrie is the best in the business at Methodist. Danny Ramzy at UT/Memorial Hermann also very good and a good option for robotic/mini incisions.

Dr. Kar is an excellent cardiologist and a good starting point, but likely not who you need for this type of surgery unless you have coexisting heart failure.

How about a good cardiologist you would recommend with Methodist? Preferably in the medical center area.

Dr. Moon at Texas Heart Institute in St. Lukes did my 88 year old mothers recently and was phenomenal.

Dr Hidetoshi Hasegawa. Was number 1 rated heart surgeon in Japan before immigrating to the US.

For open chest procedures stick with Memorial Hermann or Methodist. Gregoric and Reul are good options for those respective hospitals

Dr. Nishikawa. He's with Methodist but the practice is located at 6400 Fannin.

This is a good group at 6400 Fannin. I have a couple of family members that have been seeing Dr. Rubin for years and really like him. He's very thorough.

As others have said, Dr Kar is as good as it gets. You'll undoubtedly meet my wife if you see him. She pretty much runs sht there.
