The contract termination is effective next Friday, March 31.

Is the water safe? I wouldn't trust it.

Your drinking water does not come from a WASTEwater treatment facility. The Kingwood Central Wastewater Treatment Plant processes what you flush and what goes down your drains. It doesn't provide what comes from the tap.

I thought the Kingwood water came from what Lake Conroe flushes.

Haha…technically, you could be correct. Let's hope Conroe's sewage treatment plant is operated better than Kingwood's.

Drinking water is provided my the MUDs. They can pull water from lakes and rivers (ie, Lake Conroe), but they can also use aquifer water. And it's all processed, first.

The facility in the OP is not a drinking water processing facility. It's a wastewater processing facility.

Infarmark is (was?) a finalist to operate City of Houston drinking water plant.

I can confirm 100% that both of Conroe's WWTPs run extremely well
