I reserved in the A/B Garage for a trip a couple of weeks ago. When exiting the garage, I went through a lane that apparently wasn't designated for reservations. The QR reader read my code just fine, but the gate wouldn't lift. The lady came over to me and told me that reservations weren't allowed in that lane, but they needed a "tech" to update the signage over the lane. She told me to go over four lanes or whatever as it is the only one that will allow reservations, so I do.
The QR reader at that lane doesn't work for me, though. Another employee comes over and tries to get my code to work for a couple of minutes while telling me that they've been having trouble with it. No luck, so call over the supervisor to help. She tells me to back up so that it would give them more room to work (they are only scanning a phone, mind you), so I do. Still nothing. They call over yet another employee (the first one I talked to) to discuss the situation at which point they finally decide to radio the "main supervisor" to open the gate as I clearly had a valid reservation that was then about 90 seconds from expiring.
So, my attempt to use technology and make this process easy ended up with it taking no less than 15 minutes and no less than four airport employees just to get me out of the damn place. I would have been mad if it weren't so ironically funny.
