Any good places to meet some friends during the day and have a couple of drinks, and where the kids (4, 7, 10) can be entertained as well? Awesome if there was live music or something as well. Even a burger place like the Burger Shack would work but done that several times lately so looking for something different. Looking for outdoor venue to enjoy the nice weather this Saturday.

We are in the Katy and Cypress area so West Houston is preferred but not absolutely necessary.

No Label put in new playground equipment and they usually have live music on the weekends.

Never been but I've heard good things about Lazy Oaks Beer Garden. It's just inside BW8 on 10.

4 yr olds hate IPA. More into Stouts.

No Label is another staple for us. Was hoping to find a hidden gem we didn't know about. Will look into Lazy Oaks. Thanks.

Lazy Oaks has a good system of ordering at the table and the drinks come out quickly.

Wife was short-poured on wine there and after the 2nd time w/ a different bartender I asked if it was a full pour. He went in the back to get a measuring cup and confirmed that it was, in fact, not a full pour. So watch your wine glasses.

Clay's is a real hidden gem. You'll want to take out of town guests there.

They have some good session beers on tap.

There is one in Humble where you can even get shot in the parking lot. Ten years ago on my final trip there, the bday girl momma and baby daddy new girlfriend had a nice go.

The best day drinking with kids is in my backyard

Sometimes in the front yard if they want to set up the zipline

Our neighborhood is just a bunch of us dads outside with a drink in our hand each afternoon yelling "CAR!" while the kids are playing.

I hear Toddy Oaks is great, just not kid friendly. Apparently even has signs about it.

Hidden gem? I haven't been there in a few years so maybe it got lost.... But it used to be insane. Still good, but damn a weekend afternoon was a mad house with families

Yeah, not how I would describe Clay's.

Ended up going to Rosehill Beer Garden. Was pretty solid for what we were looking for.
